Private Categories

Marking a category as private will restrict its visibility within the public knowledge base (KB). This action ensures that the category, along with all its associated articles and sub-categories, remains hidden from the public eye.

Consequently, these elements will not be accessible or searchable by non-logged-in users or visitors. However, for users who are logged in, the private categories, along with their respective articles and sub-categories, will be fully accessible and visible within the knowledge base.

This feature is particularly useful for managing internal documentation, confidential information, or content that is intended for a specific audience, ensuring that only authorized users can view and interact with it.

How to mark a category as private:

  1. Go to Settings > Categories

  2. Choose the category that you want to make private.

  3. Click on triple dot and Mark as private.

  4. Your category and all it's nested categories and articles will be marked as private and will not be visible to public.
